Lockdown Special

$35 for a 1 hour, one-on-one paddle session, 100% tailored to your needs

Creating a community for paddlers in the East was the driving force behind setting up Double Bay Stand Up Paddle - and community means showing up for each other in good times and bad.

  • As a contribution to my community, during lockdown, I’m discounting SUP sessions by over 50%. for a 1 hour to $35 for a one hour, 1:1 paddle session.

Create the SUP Session You Want

Your hour on the water is 100% tailored to your needs.

It can be anything from a formally structured lesson to a relaxing paddle around the bay to a distance paddle to Elizabeth Bay or Rose Bay. There is even the option to find a quiet space, drop anchor and meditate, do a few yoga moves, or just sip on a cup of tea and enjoy being in nature.

Benefits of SUP During the September Lockdown

  • Socially Distant

Stand up paddling is the ultimate ‘socially distant’ way to spend time. It’s also incredibly flexible. A SUP board is your gateway to anything from a relaxed paddle to a platform for a meditation session on the water or cardio workout.

  • Spring Paddling

Spring is one of the most beautiful times of year to paddle. The water is clear, there is little wind and boat traffic is at a minium.

Use this time to learn to paddle or hone your skills ready for summer.

Group Paddles with Other SUP Schools

A number of local SUP schools offer group paddles. This is the list I know of. If you know of others, let me know, and I’ll add them to the list.

Watsup: Sundays, 8.00am - 9.00am

Watsup provide lessons, paddle experiences and a number of group fitness paddles. On Sundays they do a relaxed social paddle that ends with a social coffee. Terry and Jo who run Watsup have an incredible depth of knowledge and experience across many water sports and create a fun, welcoming time for all paddlers.

She SUPS: Fridays, 5.45am - 6.45am

She SUPs organises lessons, group paddles and many more types of paddle experiences. On Friday mornings a group paddle runs from Rose Bay. Committed to creating a supportive environment for female paddlers, Vikki who runs She SUPs will ensure you are welcomed and have an amazing time on the water.
